Had a great time recently at Anime-Zing! 2015 in Davenport Iowa! Met lots of great people there and all of the staff were great. Thanks to anyone who came out and supported the studio!

Man, haven't written anything on here for awhile. Well, I've been gone for a bit. Busy with the whole life thing since last Anime Central. Big thanks to anyone who showed up by the way! I honestly began to feel that I would never make any bead art again and my recent lack of activity has certainly shown that. That needs to change though! The last few months I've been really bummed about leaving the hobby behind, and it's time to get out of this funk.

To do this for the first time I will start taking commissions! I get messages and people asking me at cons if I do commissions all the time, and I always had to give them a disappointing no. My reason was that I didn't have the free time to get it done. Well since work and my social life have become less chaotic I finally do have the ability to take orders and get them out in a timely fashion. On top of that I hope to still get out to Anime Central 2015 next year so expect an update about that soon.

Well I'm back again after one of my standard extremely long hiatuses. I'm here to announce that for the first time 8-Bit Beads Studio will be going to Anime Central for the first time 2 years in a row.  I know it's been a couple of months since I've done ANYTHING, but that was mostly due to lack of motivation. Now I'm motivated as hell! Gotta get to work on the big hits from last year, and working on new pieces for this year. Expect updates soon!

I had a cool opportunity to be on a podcast recently. It's called Nerdy Laundry and it's hosted on the website Capes and Cartridges. Every week they get a panel together to talk about a particular nerdy subject. This weeks topic was something very close to my heart, arcade games! So head on over and give it a listen. Man, ACEN was amazing! First I would just like to say thanks to the people who stopped by the booth and recognized us from the page.  That was super awesome and thanks for the kind words tossed my way.  Second, I have a bit of an announcement to make.  Over the convention weekend I made the decision that I will no longer be doing commissions.  It is purely a matter of time, something I don't have a lot of these days.  So i apologize to anyone who had interest in getting a piece made, but I don't think I'll be doing anything trough the mail in the near future.  On the other hand requests are still welcome and encouraged! If you would like to see something made and posted to the page I will gladly add it to the "to be done" board. Plus anything new you see posted here after today will hopefully be coming with me to ACEN 2014.  Thanks guys for all your support.
